Research Specialist - Animal Research

Salary Range - $31.21 - $39.40 (Per Diem)

Position summary:

Under general direction, the Research Specialist supports and coordinates laboratory research activities, performing both bench-based and animal-related procedures. Responsibilities include animal husbandry, colony management, genotyping, health monitoring, drug administration, surgical support, post-operative care, behavioral testing, tissue collection, specimen processing, cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and other laboratory assays. The role maintains accurate study records, analyzes and reports experimental data, manages laboratory supplies and equipment, and ensures compliance with animal welfare, biosafety, quality, and regulatory requirements to support preclinical and translational research objectives.
